The Mermaid Zine is a 57 page zine containing four pieces of writing on the topic of merfolk, lovingly sewn together. There are four main pieces of writing in this zine. Firstly, I review the merfolk of The Sims 3. Then, I dive into the transgender implications of The Little Mermaid, both the animated movie and the original story. I explore and retell the story of Agnete and the Merman while also researching the man who drew their tale. Finally, there is a post-apocalyptic sapphic love story between an immortal and a mermaid.
Because this is a handmade product, there may be slight variations in each zine sent out.
